Many thanks to all our readers and email subscribers, as of the last 2021 issue we had over 6,000 individual readers/downloads and almost 5,000 people have subscribed to get our email announcements!
However, a huge thank you goes out to our sustaining and one time donors. These amazing individuals make it possible to gift the Rose to the world. They make up a very small portion of our readership and give such a gift to this wider community with their yearly monetary support. This small group allows the free distribution of the Rose to the wider online community. If you feel called, please join these wonderful donors today by clicking the link above or visiting our "Support the Rose" page. If you are not in a position to support the Rose financially, please share the word on social media. You can find the Rose on Instagram and Facebook.

Our Journey out into The World
"The Rose" has been in circulation since 2002, published under the auspices of the Natural Spirituality program started by Joyce Rockwood Hudson at Emmanuel Church in Athens, GA, a program dedicated to dreamwork within a church setting. The Rose was the brainchild of our founding editor, the late Wanda Krewer, who sought to connect the growing number of dream groups in the Natural Spirituality community throughout the country. Joyce Rockwood Hudson became the editor after the inaugural issue of The Rose and continued as chief editor for 15 issues, passing the mantle to Peggy Thrasher Law who was editor for issues #16-23. Once the time has came for "The Rose" to strike out on its own, it left Emmanuel to become The Rose in The World. Our February 2015 issue was the inaugural issue for the new incarnation. The former assistant editor Sarah D. Norton, transitioned into her new position as editor and continues to nurture this publication as The Rose incarnates into a new form. No matter the name, we still hold to the mission we began with back in 2002 "inviting Wisdom into our lives and churches" while expanding this to include the world at large as our house of faith. As such, The Rose in the World has roots that run very deep: religion, natural spirituality (dreamwork rooted in spiritual community), Jungian psychology, and general dreamwork.
